Avery was able to be part of the dragon train for Chinese New Year at her school.

Avery's Birthday

We were able to make a great snowman for Avery's birthday.

Avery stood out there for an hour waving at cars as they drove by

Games at the park across the street.

And so it begins...

Paige texted me yesterday during lunch and said that a boy from school, who she had never seen before so she has no idea who he is, came up to her and said: You know, you really should smile more. Taken aback, she asked why, and he said that if he had red hair as pretty as hers, he would smile all the time...

I asked her what she did... did she smile??? I told her she should have told him not to feel bad... that his hair was pretty just like it was... or to just scream out "MY DADS GOT A GUN!!!" but that probably wouldn't have gone over to well at school.
